These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made through the CopperZinc online store and to the use of the CopperZinc website.

By placing an order through our website, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
1. General
1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all offers, orders and agreements between MIDOBU and customers purchasing products through the CopperZinc online store.
1.2 CopperZinc reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to your order is the version in force at the time your order was placed.
1.3 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any mandatory consumer rights that apply under the law of the country in which you reside.
2. Our Products
2.1 CopperZinc specialises in brass hardware, lighting and related interior products.
2.2 We make or arrange production of our products after an order has been placed. As a result, production and delivery times may vary depending on the product and destination.
2.3 We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, dimensions, colours and finishes are accurate.
2.4 Product photographs may appear slightly different depending on lighting, photography, screen settings and the natural characteristics of the materials used.
2.5 Brass is a natural material and may display variations in colour, tone, texture and surface appearance. These variations are characteristics of the material and should not automatically be considered defects.
3. Product Availability
3.1 Although our products are made or arranged for production after an order is placed, we cannot guarantee that every product will always be available.
3.2 If we are unable to fulfil an order after it has been placed, we will contact you and, where necessary, provide a full refund of amounts already paid for the unavailable product.
4. Customised and Personalised Products
4.1 Some CopperZinc products may be available with customer-specific specifications or personalisation.
4.2 A product will only be considered customised or personalised where it has been made according to specifications provided or selected specifically by the customer and is not a standard product that can ordinarily be sold to another customer.
4.3 Where applicable law permits the exclusion of the statutory right of withdrawal for genuinely customised or personalised products, that exclusion will apply.
4.4 Simply producing or ordering a standard CopperZinc product after an order has been placed does not, by itself, make that product a customised or personalised product.
4.5 Where a customised or personalised product cannot legally be cancelled or returned under applicable law, this will be communicated to the customer before the purchase is completed.
5. Prices
5.1 All prices displayed on the CopperZinc website are stated in the currency shown at checkout.
5.2 Unless otherwise stated, prices include applicable VAT for orders where VAT is required to be charged.
5.3 Delivery charges, duties, import taxes or other charges that are not included in the displayed product price will be communicated in accordance with our Shipping & Delivery Policy and, where applicable, during checkout.
5.4 CopperZinc reserves the right to change prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted.
6. Pricing Errors
6.1 We take reasonable care to ensure that all prices and product information displayed on our website are correct.
6.2 If a clear and obvious pricing or product information error occurs, CopperZinc reserves the right to correct the error.
6.3 If an order has been placed based on an obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund any amount already paid.
7. Placing an Order
7.1 By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase the selected products.
7.2 After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.
7.3 An order becomes binding once CopperZinc has accepted the order and payment has been successfully received, subject to any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights that apply.
7.4 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where there is a reasonable basis to do so, including suspected fraud, payment problems, obvious pricing errors or inability to fulfil the order.
7.5 If we cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled order will be refunded.
8. Payment
8.1 Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods offered through the CopperZinc checkout.
8.2 Orders will normally only be processed once payment has been successfully authorised.
8.3 If a payment is reversed, declined or otherwise not successfully completed, CopperZinc may suspend or cancel the order.
9. Production
9.1 CopperZinc products are made or arranged for production after an order has been placed.
9.2 Production times may vary between products.
9.3 Production time is separate from shipping and transit time.
9.4 Any estimated production or delivery period communicated on the website or during checkout is an estimate unless a specific delivery date has expressly been agreed.
9.5 Production may be delayed by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, material shortages, manufacturing problems or events affecting transportation.
10. Delivery
10.1 CopperZinc ships internationally. Available destinations, delivery options and applicable charges are described in our Shipping & Delivery Policy and, where applicable, shown during checkout.
10.2 Delivery estimates are provided in good faith and may vary depending on the destination, production time, carrier and circumstances outside our control.
10.3 CopperZinc is responsible for the products until they are delivered to you, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
10.4 If an order is delayed significantly beyond the communicated delivery period, please contact us at contact@copperzinc.com so that we can investigate the shipment.
10.5 Where applicable law gives you a right to cancel an order because of failure to deliver within the agreed or legally required period, that right remains unaffected.
11. Delivery Address
11.1 Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
11.2 CopperZinc cannot be held responsible for delays, additional costs or failed delivery resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
11.3 If an order is returned to us because it could not be delivered due to an incorrect address, refusal of delivery or failure to collect the parcel, additional delivery charges may apply where permitted by law.
12. International Orders, Duties and Taxes
12.1 CopperZinc accepts orders from customers internationally.
12.2 Depending on the destination, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees or other charges may apply.
12.3 Where such charges are not included in the checkout price, they are the responsibility of the customer.
12.4 CopperZinc cannot guarantee the amount of any customs duty, import tax or other charge imposed by the destination country.
12.5 Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order may legally be imported into their country.
13. Right of Withdrawal
13.1 If you are a consumer purchasing a standard product online, you generally have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days without giving a reason.
13.2 The withdrawal period generally begins on the day after you, or a person designated by you other than the carrier, receives the product.
13.3 If an order consists of multiple products delivered separately, the withdrawal period generally begins when the final product or part of the order is received.
13.4 To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must communicate your decision to us before the withdrawal period expires.
13.5 You may contact us at contact@copperzinc.com to exercise your right of withdrawal.
13.6 You may use the model withdrawal form included at the end of these Terms & Conditions, but you are not required to use that form.
13.7 You do not have to provide a reason for exercising your statutory right of withdrawal.
14. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
14.1 The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply where an applicable legal exception applies.
14.2 This may include products that have been genuinely made according to the customer's specifications or are clearly personalised, where applicable law permits this exception.
14.3 A standard CopperZinc product that is simply produced, ordered or assembled after a customer places an order is not automatically excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal.
14.4 Where a specific product is excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal, this will be clearly communicated before the purchase is completed.
15. Returns
15.1 If you exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, you must return the relevant product without undue delay and generally no later than 14 days after communicating your withdrawal to us.
15.2 Products should be returned in a condition that allows them to be resold, taking into account that you are entitled to inspect the product as you would in a physical store.
15.3 You may be responsible for a reduction in the value of the product if you handle it beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
15.4 Where permitted by applicable law, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning a product when exercising the statutory right of withdrawal.
15.5 Products returned because they are faulty, damaged on arrival or not as ordered are handled separately under Section 17.

16. Refunds
16.1 Where you validly exercise your statutory right of withdrawal, CopperZinc will refund the payments received from you for the relevant order in accordance with applicable law.
16.2 Where the entire order is cancelled under the statutory right of withdrawal, this includes the standard delivery cost paid for the order, subject to applicable law.
16.3 If you selected a more expensive delivery method than the least expensive standard delivery option offered by CopperZinc, we are not required to refund the additional cost of that upgraded delivery method where applicable law permits this.
16.4 Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed.
16.5 We may withhold a refund until we have received the returned products or until you have provided evidence that the products have been returned, whichever occurs first, where permitted by applicable law.
17. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
17.1 If a product arrives damaged, defective or materially different from what you ordered, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at contact@copperzinc.com.
17.2 Please include your order number and, where relevant, photographs showing the condition of the product and packaging.
17.3 CopperZinc will assess the issue and, where the product does not conform to the agreement, provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
17.4 Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, this may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
17.5 You are not required to accept a defective product simply because it has been made or ordered after your purchase.
18. Legal Guarantee
18.1 Consumers are entitled to the mandatory legal guarantee of conformity applicable in their country of residence.
18.2 For consumers in the European Union, goods are subject to a minimum two-year legal guarantee under EU consumer protection rules, subject to applicable national law and the nature of the product.
18.3 The legal guarantee applies independently of any additional commercial guarantee that CopperZinc or a manufacturer may offer.
18.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes mandatory statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming products.
19. Natural Characteristics of Brass and Finishes
19.1 Brass is a material with natural variations.
19.2 Variations in colour, tone, texture, patina and surface appearance may occur between products and between individual pieces.
19.3 Depending on the finish, brass may change in appearance over time as a result of exposure to air, moisture, oils, handling and environmental conditions.
19.4 These natural changes are part of the character of brass and do not automatically constitute a manufacturing defect.
19.5 Where a product has a specific finish or surface treatment, the care and maintenance instructions supplied with the product should be followed.
20. Installation
20.1 Customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended installation and application.
20.2 Installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified professional where required by the nature of the product, electrical regulations or applicable local requirements.
20.3 CopperZinc is not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect installation, misuse, modification or failure to follow supplied installation or care instructions, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
20.4 Electrical products must be installed and connected in accordance with applicable local electrical regulations.
21. Product Safety
21.1 Customers must use products only for their intended purpose and in accordance with any instructions supplied with the product.
21.2 Safety information, installation instructions and product-specific warnings must be followed.
21.3 Customers must not modify, alter or use a product in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose.

22. Business and Trade Customers
22.1 CopperZinc sells to both consumers and business customers.
22.2 Where a customer purchases products wholly or predominantly for business purposes, certain consumer protection rights may not apply.
22.3 Business customers are responsible for ensuring that products are suitable for their intended commercial application and installation.
22.4 Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, business customers do not receive consumer-specific statutory rights that apply exclusively to consumers.
22.5 Where a business customer places an order, the customer confirms that it is acting in the course of its business or professional activity.
23. Intellectual Property
23.1 All intellectual property rights relating to the CopperZinc website and its content, including logos, photographs, product imagery, text, graphics, designs and other materials, belong to MIDOBU or its licensors unless otherwise stated.
23.2 You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish or commercially exploit CopperZinc content without our prior written permission.
23.3 Purchasing a CopperZinc product does not grant the customer any intellectual property rights in the product design, branding or associated content.
24. Customer Reviews and Content
24.1 If you submit a review, photograph or other content to CopperZinc, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content.
24.2 You must not submit content that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, offensive or infringes the rights of another person.
24.3 CopperZinc may remove content that violates these requirements or applicable law.
24.4 Where you provide content for publication, you grant CopperZinc permission to use that content for the purpose for which it was submitted, subject to applicable law.
25. Website Use
25.1 You may use the CopperZinc website only for lawful purposes.
25.2 You must not attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the website.
25.3 You must not use the website to introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access or engage in activity that could damage or disrupt the website or its users.
25.4 We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or completely free from technical errors.
26. Privacy
26.1 Personal information provided to CopperZinc is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
26.2 By placing an order, you acknowledge that your personal information must be processed where necessary to fulfil the order, provide customer service, process payments, arrange delivery and comply with legal obligations.
27. Complaints
27.1 If you have a complaint about a product, order or service, please contact us at:
27.2 Please provide your order number and a clear description of the issue so that we can investigate it efficiently.
27.3 We will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
27.4 Your statutory rights remain unaffected if a complaint cannot be resolved directly with CopperZinc.
28. Liability
28.1 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
28.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, CopperZinc will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products.
28.3 CopperZinc is not responsible for losses resulting from misuse, unauthorised modification or incorrect installation of a product, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
28.4 Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
29. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
29.1 CopperZinc will not be responsible for delay or failure to perform an obligation where this is caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.
29.2 Such circumstances may include natural disasters, war, government action, strikes, transportation disruption, supplier failure, significant material shortages, pandemics, cyber incidents or interruption of essential services.
29.3 Where such circumstances occur, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact on customers.
30. Changes to Products and Services
30.1 CopperZinc may modify, discontinue or update products, product specifications, packaging or website features from time to time.
30.2 Changes will not affect products that have already been purchased unless the change is necessary to comply with applicable law or safety requirements.
31. Changes to These Terms
31.1 CopperZinc may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
31.2 The Terms & Conditions applicable to an order are those in force when the order was placed.
31.3 The latest version will always be made available on the CopperZinc website.
32. Severability
32.1 If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
32.2 The invalid provision will be interpreted or replaced to the extent necessary to make it valid while preserving its original purpose as closely as legally possible.
33. Applicable Law
33.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
33.2 If you are a consumer residing in another country, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protection provisions that cannot legally be excluded under the law applicable to you.
34. Disputes
34.1 We encourage customers to contact us first so that we can attempt to resolve any dispute directly.
34.2 If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it may be submitted to the competent court in accordance with applicable law.
34.3 Consumers retain any mandatory rights they may have to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence.
